These
films are used for making up packs (grouping items such as bottles,
cans or packs of cartons in shrink film) as well as packaging more
bulky products packed singly (radiators, doors, polystyrene panels,
etc.).
The film is shrunk by applying heat. Under the effect of heat, the
film assumes the shape of the product being packaged and sets on
cooling.
These shrink films are transparent or coloured and depending on
their use, can have the benefit of special characteristics by the
use of coextrusion techniques (non-stick film, high clarity film,
etc.). They can be printed with up to 8 colours.
